NOTICE TO RESIDENTS: LAND USE PERMITS REQUIRED
The City Zoning Ordinance requires a Land Use Permit be obtained prior to any and all use, change of use, modification of use, construction, altering, destruction, remodeling or conversion of any building, structure, land or other real property, signs, fences or fixtures upon real property. PROPERTY OWNERS: NOXIOUS WEEDS REQUIREMENTS & PROVISIONS
Please be advised it is the duty of every property owner in the corporate limits of the City of Iron River to cut, destroy, and remove, or cause to be cut, destroyed, and removed, from the land all noxious and poisonous weeds growing at least 3 times each year, once not later than June 1, once not later than July 15, and once not later than September 1.
Should the owner fail to comply within the time limited therein, the weeds will be removed by the Public Works Foreman, who will keep an account of expenses incurred. The City Council shall and if correct, order the accounts be paid from the General Fund of the City.
The Clerk will then certify the accounts with the City Assessor. All expenditures shall become lien against the property upon the city tax roll next in preparation, and collected in the same manner as other city taxes.
